This new article, which comparatively addresses the post-2022 Ukrainian migration during a two-year research period, was supported as a BAP Project by our university. The edited volume Migration Debates in Türkiye: Interdisciplinary and Empirical Approaches, based on graduate theses on international migration from various departments at ASBÜ—particularly the MA Program in Migration Studies—has been published by TİAV under the editorship of Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar, Director of ASBU-GAUM.
Prof. Dr. Şebnem Akçapar joined a live debate on February 23rd organized by TRT World to discuss about current issues regarding Turkish Diaspora in Europe. On the 60th anniversary of Turkish labor migration to Germany, the participants commented on new generations, xenophobia, racist attacks in Hanau, and transnational relations with other diaspora communities.
